So for my second one I decided to stay on theme and get a partner for Dory. So what cuter one could I get than Nemo. This one was not as difficult to find and I simply ordered it on Amazon. I do have to say that one of the things that first really drew me to the Funko Pop collection is their very distinct stylized take on known characters. As soon as you see any of the characters you don’t need any branding you know exactly what it is. So my Nemo arrived and I was delightedly surprised to see that he even had a “‘lucky fin.” It’s super cute but it does make him unbalanced. He needs dory’s help to stand up, but that’s fine because they loo super cute together.

And So It Begins
So I have always liked the idea of collecting things but never found something that I really wanted to collect. Lets be honest most of the things we enjoy collecting are not strictly speaking useful. They are mostly for our viewing enjoyment and the thrill of the hunt. Because of this I didn’t want whatever I decided to collect couldn’t be too big. If each item is relatively big, by the time you get 10 you are out of space (I don’t currently live in the largest venue). Also I didn’t want each one to be absurdly expensive. Yes Part of collecting is trying to find the rare ones which will obviously be more than the common ones, but I didn’t want the average of the item to be too high. one day I was walking through a store and I ran into the Funko Pop! display. Now I knew about them before but I had never truly looked at them. I thought they were so cute and they had such a large variety that crossed so many fandoms, I was captivated. I went home and did some research and decided that the one that I really wanted was Dory. I had always been a big pixar fan and I particularity like the Dory Vinyl. Of course though when I decided this it was right before Finding Dory came out so they were not the most common, so to ebay I went. After winning the Auction (Yes!) and waiting for it to arrive I opened the box to find my first ever Pop! I quickly decided that I wanted to look at it and hold it sans box. They are so Much better out of them box. they have so much more life and aren’t so sterile. I was super happy with my first Pop and soon was tying to figure out what to get next.
